Welcome home. Here’s a simple checklist to help you get set up and settled in your new place with confidence.

Work through these in order for a smooth, stress-free start.
Before you get your keys
- Sign your lease and pay any move-in funds through the portal.
- Set up electric, gas, water/sewer, and any other utilities in your name for your start date.
- Arrange renter’s insurance if required by your lease.
- Confirm your move-in date and key pickup details with WAPM.
Move-in day
- Complete your move-in inspection and note any existing issues with photos.
- Submit the inspection form promptly so your unit’s condition is documented.
- Locate your circuit breaker, water shutoff, and furnace filter.
- Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors — report any problems right away.
Your first week
- Save the resident portal to your phone for rent and maintenance.
- Set up AutoPay so you never miss a rent due date.
- Review trash, recycling, and any community guidelines in your lease.
- Reach out with any questions — we’re here to help you settle in.
